Social Impact Spotlight: Partnering with Purpose
Stepping Up for Students: WesternU CPM, LAUSD & Samaritan’s Feet
At Western University College of Podiatric Medicine, our commitment to health goes beyond the clinic—it walks into the heart of the community.
In collaboration with Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and Samaritan’s Feet, CPM students and faculty are helping under-resourced children take confident steps forward. Through this powerful partnership, we provide free foot health screenings, health education, and brand-new shoes to LAUSD students who need them most.
Hundreds of pairs of shoes distributed
Free foot care and screenings offered by student doctors
Empowering youth with confidence, care, and compassion
This outreach initiative isn’t just a service event—it’s a transformative experience for everyone involved. Our students learn to connect medicine with empathy and community impact, embodying what it means to practice humanistic healthcare.
“We’re not just treating feet—we’re building futures,” says one CPM volunteer.
WesternU CPM is proud to support initiatives that improve lives, promote health equity, and train the next generation of physicians to lead with purpose.
